Spanish Puff Pastry Tart

I’m not really one for convenience food and I’d much rather make my own than use ready meals or cake mixes etc. But there is something so brilliant about ready roll pastry that I just can’t help myself. It takes so much of the hassle out of cooking and you can rustle up a lovely tart in a matter of minutes, as demonstrated by my lovely friend from Sims Life at my house last week.

She even brought all her own ingredients and everything. I have the best friends.

Ingredients:
Ready roll pastry
Red Onion
Tomatoes
Red peppers
Serrano ham
Chorizo

First unroll the pastry into two tart sized pieces and then score around the pieces of pastry a couple of cms from the edge.

Next layer up your filling inside the scored area. We used red onion, red peppers, tomatoes, chorizo and topped it off with Serrano ham, but really you can use anything you like in them.

Then pop it into a pre-heated oven at gas mark 5 for about 30 minutes, turning it around for an even rise at 15 minutes. The tart is ready when golden brown and risen.

And it was as utterly delicious as it looks, the Serrano ham went scrumptiously crunchy. God bless ready roll pastry and friends that come round to cook for you.
